Region Learn to Train Seminar/ Fall Meeting

This seasons “Learn to Train” seminar will be held in Creston BC on the weekend of September 21, 22. Please mark your calendars and let your members know. This season our guest facilitator is Ravi Walia and it promises to be an amazing learning opportunity. Ravi has the highest level of coaching available in Canada and puts on a fantastic clinic. Clinic attendance is part of qualifying to be on the Kootenay Region Team for Starskate final in the spring so we would love to see all our STAR 5 and up Kootenay skaters attend the clinic. We look forward to seeing all our STARskaters STAR 3 and above. The Kootenay Region “Fall Meeting” will be held in conjunction with the seminar and parent/club information sessions will take place throughout the weekend.
Saturday will see sessions for club members and opportunities to ask any questions you may have on club operations. We will have a session for test chairman to get up to date on the changes for 2019. There will be a financial discussion regarding the new T2 reporting that will benefit any of the treasurers of clubs. If you are new to a board and need a hand understanding your role the executive will be on hand to answer questions. The Fall meeting of the Kootenay Region will happen at 1:00pm on Saturday September 21, 2019. Please try to join us as there is always valuable information on the season ahead and club operations.
